Paru Paru – Potato Park
Description
At Cabtours Peru, we offer unique alternative experiences for visitors with specific interests. The tour begins with a direct trip from your hotel to the Paru Paru community, our main destination.
Upon arrival, the local inhabitants will warmly welcome you. You will then participate in various immersive activities, including a medicinal plant workshop, visits to the Qinsacocha, Azulcocha, and Pumacocha lagoons, and a demonstration of traditional textile art. Afterward, you will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with locally grown potatoes and other regional ingredients.
In the afternoon, you will witness a demonstration of potato planting using the chakitaqlla, an ancestral agricultural tool. Finally, we will return to Cusco, concluding this enriching cultural experience.
