Exceptional Accommodations on the Salkantay Trek
Participating in our Super Salkantay Trek (5D/5N) offers our visitors exclusive accommodation. Travel without worrying about overcrowding or low-quality facilities. All campsites are private, ensuring that hikers have enough privacy to relax before the next day’s hike.
The first afternoon of the Salkantay journey is dedicated to getting to know the hiking team. Afterward, travelers can expect to spend the first night in the Crystal Cabins in Soraypampa. Situated at 3,800 meters above sea level, these cabins offer stunning views of a glorious sunset over the glacial peaks.
Each day includes a hike through breathtaking landscapes and the reward of a fresh, delicious meal prepared by the best mountain chefs. Enjoy custom-built campsites with gardens, pools, and views of the mountain ranges. Hikers spend the night in a cozy “Hobbit House” near the river. Additionally, disconnect after an active day and recharge your body, mind, and soul by relaxing in the pool or hot tub.
Enjoy Spectacular Scenery on the Salkantay Route
Throughout the journey, hikers follow the same paths as the ancient Incas while enjoying the solitude and wildlife of the mountainside. Experience diverse landscapes with picturesque views of the glacial mountain, Mount Salkantay, and local wildlife such as spectacled bears, chinchillas, and deer.
The Salkantay Trek requires hikers to be in moderate to excellent physical condition, as some parts of the hike are strenuous and the terrain is rugged. Hikers cover 62 km in five days, nearly double the distance of the Inca Trail. At some points, the trail reaches up to 4,000 meters in altitude, allowing hikers to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the landscapes below.
Rest assured that your trip will be safe with Cab Tours. All our tour guides speak English and have extensive hiking experience. They are trained in first aid and carry satellite phones in case of emergencies. Full of knowledge about their homeland, our guides teach you about the region at every step of the way.
